It will probably get a ton of community content though. The main problem at the moment I feel is the lack of maps. You move forward on the map or try to stop the opposing team moving up. It plays more like Wolfensteins objective multiplayer with melee. Its alot more fast paced than the mount and blade type games and in general, very diffrent. It's not super realistic but you do die with 1-2 hits. Lots of people play, it seems fairly popular. To finish off i can just repeat the beginning.Hello guys,I was thinking of buying this game.I 've been a big fan of such games, the last two years I ve been playing warband, but after hours and hours of game i am kinda bored of it and i see that it has lost the playerbase that it once had too(including napoleonic expansion, crpg and such). So do you think this game worth its money, and is it enough to keep someone playing it for some months or it will be boring after a few games?also what about the playerbase?are there enough players to always have players for fun battles and is there a lack of players? And i call it the Mount and blade charme since its predecessor worked like that as well. I might be mistaken in your eyes after all these arent factual defects of bannerlord i just really prefer how warband works. In bannerlord the factions feel stale and not that important. They can defect to other Nations or marry. In warband they do feel alot different and lords have personal relations betwwen themselves and those of other nations. Skills for companions are as in depth as your own and especially usefull when you skill a companion to be a field doctor or tactician as that complements your skills and are apllied to the entire party. There were companions with in depth storys, own ambitions and interaction between them if you have multiple. There gettung experience from using a weapon was aneat bonus and not mandatory to progress a certain skillset. Skills are so extrremely restricted in Bannerlord and there are simply less skills overall then there where in warband. I felt that bannerlord is pretty much overloaded and driven by a " need to make it look current gen " the menus are to much ( trading, town menus etc.) Warbands graphics are much simpler yes but in a good way. In bannerlord there is this whole family uniting and dragon banner part collection and whatnot. After thst you are free to go and free to achieve whatever you want. The main story is literally just a set introduction about what happened to calradia. Its compared to Bannerlord much simpler yet more immersive in my opinion. I highly advise you to give warband a try.it should be available on steam for not to much. There's another Crusades mod out there called In The Name of Jerusalem, which has some really great things going for it as well, but it is rather buggy and the English translation is absolutely terrible! I can't play it, even though it has things like functional catapults and ballistas. And of course that the Roman faction is fleshed out a lot more than all the other factions. Created by Raudentius - autor of 1257 AD Middle Europe and Hearth of Europe mods. Included tons of new equipment (my own and OSP). New factions, map, gameplay upgrades for better playing like PBO, Diplomacy, etc. The only drawback I can think of is that the scenes of the cities are not as pretty as in Bellum Imperii. New historical mod from Middle-Eastern Europe in XV. There's Roman law policies the emperor puts through that affect your gameplay. There's like 10 different Roman legions with distinct appearances and looks. There's a senate mechanic where you can hold speeches or bribe senators to gain influence. I mean, there's a "commit suicide" option for when you lose a battle and your Roman pride cannot permit such failure. It is so detailed and immersive, it is really astounding. This mod is quite new I think, post-Bannerlord certainly, and I think that's why it's flown under the radar a bit.īut it's great. Recently I've been playing Aut Caesar Aut Nihil. Which is in my view the essence of a vanilla plus mod. But then after playing Bannerpage I booted up vanilla again and holy moly does Bannerpage add a lot - but in such a way that if you remember vanilla only dimly, most of it seems vanilla. Not having played vanilla in a long time, the only difference I noticed was the recruitment system. I found Bannerpage an amazing overhaul of vanilla.
